Explore the Ping Shan
Heritage Trail

We show you all the best photo spots. No previous photography skills needed!

You will learn how to use a vintage Polaroid camera from the 1990s at the beginning of the workshop.

Locals Daisy and Fei will help you find out how to create your own beautiful Polaroid souvenirs!

We start our “not like all the other walking tours” experience at the Tsui Shing Lau Pagoda. Then you will discover the well preserved heritage site of Yuen Long.

You will see the origins of the New Territories, which was just a humble market village when it was built during the Yuan dynasty (1271–1368).

You will be discovering residential and commercial architecture and centuries-old ancestral halls that will give you an insight into the lives and culture of the early settlers of the New Territories.

During your analog photo adventure you will discover

  • Hong Kong’s oldest Pagoda,
  • the Tang clan’s ancestral hall,
  • visit a 200-year-old walled village,
  • capture the eventful history of Hong Kong on film,
  • works of some of the finest craftsmen of their time,
  • beautiful murals and patterns at the Ching Shu Hin guesthouse.

Take home eight one-of-a-kind Polaroids from your sightseeing exploration in Hong Kong.
